Key Responsibilities of an AFC Ticketing Executive
- Operating Automatic Fare Turnstiles: Monitoring NFC smart card tap-in/tap-out readers, QR code scanners, and optical passenger sensors to prevent tailgating.
- Managing Excess Fare Booths (EFC): Resolving commuter penalty calculations when journey distances exceed ticketed stations or when time limits on platforms are breached.
- Smart Card Issuance & Top-Up: Managing customer loyalty transit cards, student discount passes, and cashless digital transactions via UPI and debit cards.
- TVM Machine Maintenance: Clearing coin or token jams, reloading contactless paper QR rolls, and logging technical downtime tickets for hardware engineers.
- Daily Cash & Audit Reconciliation: Balancing daily counter collections, generating automated shift sales reports, and depositing funds into secure station drop-boxes.
Eligibility & Training Blueprint
To qualify for appointment with private metro ticketing concessionaires, candidates must satisfy the following benchmarks:
